Spray tan
A spray tan is a quick and safe way to get a beautiful, sun-tanned complexion-without the harmful UV rays. Afterward, enjoy an even, radiant glow, perfect for that special moment or just to give yourself a boost. Suitable for all skin types and completely free from the risks of tanning or sunbeds.
Who is a spray tan suitable for?
A spray tan is suitable for just about anyone! Whether you have light or dark skin, are young or old-a spray tan can be completely tailored to your skin type and desired complexion. It is ideal for people who:
Wanting a sun-tanned look without harmful UV rays;
Wanting an even complexion without spots or streaks;
Want a healthy glow for special occasions (wedding, party, vacation);
Having trouble getting a tan in the sun;
Want to keep their summer color longer.
In addition, it is also a good option for people with sensitive skin, as the formula of the spray is mild and skin-friendly. If you have specific skin conditions or allergies, it is always good to discuss this with us in advance.
How long does a spray tan remain visible?
A spray tan stays beautiful for an average of 5 to 10 days, depending on your skin type, aftercare and daily routines. The color gradually fades as the top skin cells renew themselves.
Preparation for the perfect spray tan
- Exfoliate your skin (24 hours in advance). Remove dead skin cells with a mild scrub or exfoliating glove. This will ensure an even complexion and prevent blemishes.
- Shave or wax your skin. Do this at least 24 hours before your appointment. This prevents skin irritation and ensures that the spray tan is absorbed evenly.
- Do not wear body lotion, deodorant or perfume on the day. These products can act as a barrier, preventing the spray tan from adhering properly.
- Wear loose, dark clothing. Some excess dye may come off after treatment. Tight clothing may also cause streaking.
Avoid makeup during the treatment. - Make sure your skin is clean and dry so that the product is evenly distributed.
Aftercare for a Long-lasting and Even Spray Tan
- Let the spray tan absorb well. Wait at least 8 to 12 hours before showering or swimming. This gives the color time to fully develop.
- First shower: lukewarm water, no soap. Rinse your skin with lukewarm water, without soap or scrubs. It is normal for some excess color to wash off-this is just the bronzer, not the final complexion.
- Pat your skin dry, do not rub. Use a soft towel and pat your skin dry to keep the color nice and even.
- Hydrate daily! Well-hydrated skin holds the tan longer. Use an oil-free moisturizer to slow fading.
- Avoid long, hot showers and baths. Prolonged exposure to hot water accelerates skin shedding and thus fading of your tan.
- No harsh scrubs or exfoliants. Avoid exfoliating gloves, exfoliating shower gels and products containing glycolic or salicylic acid.
- Swimming and sports: in moderation. Chlorinated water and excessive sweating can make the color fade faster. Rinse your skin immediately after swimming and moisturize well.
- Sun protection remains important. A spray tan does not contain SPF, so always apply sunscreen when exposed to the sun.
